Dr. Shirley was great. He did all the work himself and was personable and thorough. They give you the option of listening to Pandora or watching a show on Hulu during your cleaning with their noise canceling headphones. Other than having your mouth open, you forget you're in a dentist's office! After my x-rays, exam, and cleaning, his assistant explained all of my dental benefits to me. I already knew my preventative visit was covered in full, but she explained the structure for restorations, etc. in case I needed them in the future. I've been to a lot of doctors in the past 29 years, and this is the first where they actually explained my benefits to me. Plus, his late hours (open until 10pm) are extremely accommodating to working patients.

Dr. Benjamin Shirley and his assistant Ana were amazing. They are both so kind, attentive, and friendly. After moving to New York and being really frustrated with trying to find a new dentist for cleanings and wisdom teeth extraction, I found them via ZocDoc.com and had an appointment with Dr. Shirley the very next day.  The office is super clean and state-of-the-art making me feel really comfortable that Dr. Shirley was going to be a great dentist. I was nervous about my wisdom teeth extraction and Ana talked to me about and told me about Dr. Shirley's residencies and experience with extraction giving me helpful advice and answering all my questions.  They are open late during the week and on weekends so no need to take off work! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this dentist!! Most painless, efficient, and pleasant experience I have ever had at the dentist!! No need to look anywhere else, Dr. Shirley and Ana are the best!

What a great dentist!!!!!! I was really nervous through the "finding a dentist" process because I knew I needed work and was running into a lot of skeptical places. After doing some online searching, I went to ZocDoc and found Dr. Shirley. I did a Yelp search and his reviews were awesome so I thought I give it a try. All the reviews were so right about Dr. Shirley and Ana!!!! When I called to make an appt and question my benefits, Anna was so nice to me. Keep in mind I called so any offices and they seemed so busy to care. She told me she would call back in an hour and she did. She went over my benefits and my cost and made me an appt. When I arrived, I was greeted with a warm smile. I filled out my paperwork and within minutes, I was seen. Exactly at my appt time. The experience was comfortable and relaxing. He went over my x-rays and answered all my questions! All ten million of them. I watched TV throughout the entire process. Upon leaving, Ana (the office manager) gave me her email, which she checks all day and night, should I need anything!!!! I highly recommend Dr. Shirley! He takes appts till 10pm and will make your experience so pleasant!!!!

Wow! This place exceeded my expectations and more. They are a great team and family owned. I needed so much done that other dentists told me it would be a huge process and take years. Dr. Shirley said all can be done within a year and a half. All equipment is new, they are very honest, and very sweet.

I completely agree with the other positive reviews regarding UWS Dental. I hate going to the Dentist because I've had very bad experiences in the past. But my first appointment with Dr. Shirley was probably one of the best dental exams and cleanings I've ever had. Dr. Shirley and his Office Manager went out of their way to make sure I was comfortable throughout my visit. 24 hours after my cleaning I feel no pain or soreness in my gums, and my teeth look great! I would highly recommend UWS Dental.
